Teacher Support Cymru Quarterly ReportApril to June 2008Charity use continues to grow; Fundraising and promotion activity increases Telephone calls remained the most used of the TSC services, with a massive 58 per cent of total service use. This is in contrast to the rest of the charity services, where telephone calls made up approximately 16 per cent. Online Coaching also saw a big increase this quarter, accounting for 10 per cent of service use in Wales, compared to just 2 per cent in England. Factsheet usage figures for TSC also increased. At the moment we are reporting solely on the use of Welsh language factsheets for the charity. Any English-language factsheet usage is incorporated into the overall Teacher Support Network figures. We are hoping to be able to report on English language downloads for Welsh teachers in the near future which will see a significant increase in the factsheet usage. Last quarter we reported that a new member of staff was joining the team and Rhia Stankovic-Jones started work as the Teacher Support Cymru Communications and Fundraising Manager in April 2008. Rhia has already made an impact on charity service use as service use in all areas continue to increase. Promotional activity includes community messages on local radio, regular articles and comment pieces in local press as well as links from other organisations direct into our InfoCentre. Future plans include a stand at the Eisteddfod in Cardiff this summer; a festival celebrating Welsh culture and one of the biggest of its kind in Europe. Highlights
