Your tips on dealing with demanding workloadsLearn to say no!By Vicky MacDonald
Two weeks ago, we asked you to share your tips on time management and coping with demanding workloads and offered the best entrant a box of delicious biscuits. Here is the winning entry: "Learn to say NO! "Evaluate (quickly) the value of what you are being asked to do, then prioritise. "Do the really important things (teaching; preparation of work; marking; reports for parents) as top priority. These affect how well your pupils will perform. "If your manager gets nasty, mention the 35 hour working week agreement then see your union rep." If you recognise this tip as yours, then a selection of Border's Shortbread Rings, Viennese Whirls, Belgian Choch Chip Cookies, Butterscotch Crunch, Chocolate Chip Cookies and Crumbles will be on its way to you shortly. Thanks to everyone who sent in their tips. Further advice is available via one of our most popular factsheets ' Time Management - tips for great time management '.
