BRINGING THE FAMILY TOGETHER
Celebrate National Family Week this May
By Joe Williams : 14 May 2009
At the end of this May, the UK will celebrate the first ever national Family Week.
The organisers describe the new initiative as having “one simple aim – bringing families together.”
Despite being in its first year, National Family Week is already the largest coalition on family issues in the UK, listing charities, community groups, statutory bodies, schools, sporting and faith networks amongst its supporters.
Events will take place up and down the country to commemorate the week, including an attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for the largest picnic across multiple venues.
At College and University Support Network, we believe that to remain productive and effective, a staff body must maintain a healthy work-life balance. In addition, in order to improve your wellbeing, being able to spend time with your family, friends or just doing the things you love is crucial.
Work-life balance is essentially about choice and flexibility, balancing life and work, balancing the needs of the school and its employees and creating the best environment for performance and job satisfaction.
