Wellbeing and stress at work: your input neededJoint survey launched with University of Kent: prizes on offer!by Joe Williams : 25 November 2009
For this reason, we’ve teamed up with academics from the University of Kent to look into how teachers respond to work-related stress and how this impacts their wellbeing. Julian Childs, a Social and Applied Psychology PhD student, and our partner on this project, said: “We are interested in how teachers’ personal standards and work-related goals affect how they feel about their job.” Findings from this and other studies will form the basis of a wider project, which aims to develop a workshop that helps people to cope with stress at work. Taking part and winning prizes To take part, just fill out a questionnaire on your personal goals and standards as well as thoughts and feelings about your work. The questionnaire will take 10-15 minutes and you will be asked to complete it twice: now and in three months’ time. If you complete both questionnaires, you will be entered into a raffle with prizes of 1 x £100, 1 x £50 and 2 x £25! When the results of the study have been analysed, you will be emailed a factsheet summarising what we have found. You can take part in the survey here.
