Teacher Support Network: safeguarding anonymityby Joe Williams : 22 February 2010
At Teacher Support Network, we take our policy of confidentiality - and the anonymity of those who contact us - very seriously.
Although we sometimes publish statistics on the use of our services to help raise awareness on issues affecting teachers, we never disclose to any third party details of a service user's workplace or any other information that could help identify those involved. In very rare circumstances, we may breach confidentiality if we believe there to be a risk of harm to a service user or those around them. This will be done sensitively, through appropriate channels and with the full knowledge of the service user. Don't forget you can contact our free, confidential support services at anytime of day or night on 08000 562 561 in England, 08000 855 088 in Wales or 0800 564 2270 in Scotland.
