Make your school SunSmart this summer

SunSmart is the UK's national skin cancer prevention campaign run by Cancer Research UK to provide information about skin cancer and sun protection throughout the UK.

As well as providing general advice, SunSmart offers specific guidelines for secondary schools, primary schools and nurseries to help keep pupils safe in the sun.

School pupils spend their school lunchbreaks outdoors over the peak UV hours so it is important for schools to offer sun protection in the summer term. Schools can become more SunSmart by:
