Career decisionsDo you need support to make a decision about the next step in your career?by Sally Baker : 15 February 2010
One of the three official resignation dates for teachers is up at the end of this month, with those wishing to retire, move schools, change jobs or leave the profession altogether having to submit their notice on or by the 28 February. Work and career enquiries have accounted for 37.8 per cent of calls to our Support Lines in the last fortnight. Whether you are among those who have decided to move on or are simply thinking about future options, Teacher Support Network can provide the support you need. Career decisions can be very difficult to make but a new job or lifestyle can be a positive opportunity for career development or achieving a personal goal. If you would like some support to make these choices you can call our trained advisors on 08000 562 561 (England), 0800 564 2270 (Scotland) or 08000 855 088 (Wales). Lines are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. These factsheets from our InfoCentre may also be useful:
