Grant Elligibility

You should be aware that there are basic eligibility requirements for a grant. To be eligible to apply you must:

• Be a serving, former or retired teacher (or a dependent).
• Be teaching or have taught in England or Wales
• Have taught for at least one term in England or Wales on a full time basis
• Have QTS
• Have less than £4,000 in savings

Any staff working within adult, further or higher education may be eligible for a grant, as well as serving, former and retired lecturers. Please give us a call.

Grant Purpose

In most cases, grants cannot be awarded for;

• Private school fees
• Fees for educational courses
• Private medical treatment
• White goods
• Furniture
• Redecoration
• Home repairs and maintenance
• Holidays or payment for curriculum related field trips
• Tuition cost, student loans or student debts

Grants are not generally awarded for non-priority debt but money advice is always available.

Even if you think you are not elligible for a grant please don't hesitate to call us anyway, as we may be able to help you in other ways even if you cannot apply for a grant.
