TSN Champions

Printer-friendly version

By taking on the role of TSN Champion, you instantly become one of the key people in our organisation, because  you provide a direct link between teachers, who may need support, and us, the only independent charity that can help them

Why become a TSN Champion?

We know from the thousands of calls and emails that we receive every year that asking for help is never easy.

We know that the sooner teachers contact us when a  problem begins, the better emotionally prepared they are, not only to cope with the situation, but also to move forward with their careers and personal lives.

This means that when your friends, colleagues or former co-workers need a little extra assistance , they will know exactly where to go and who to contact, and this will be, in large part, thanks to the work that you will do telling people about Teacher Support Network.

Your help as a TSN Champion will not only raise awareness of the work that we do as a charity, but will make a genuine difference to the health, wellbeing and ultimately lives of the teachers you meet.

Who can be a TSN Champion?

Anyone can be a TSN Champion including:

  • trainee teachers
  • newly qualified teachers (NQTs)
  • serving teachers
  • headteachers
  • supply teachers
  • retired teachers
  • union reps

What does a TSN Champion do?

The role of the TSN Champion is to raise awareness of Teacher Support Network and the support that it offers in their current, former or local schools. Some of the things you might do are:

  • put TSN posters up in staffrooms
  • share TSN leaflets with current or former colleagues
  • forward e-newsletters on to staff
  • follow us on twitter @teachersupport
  • add a description of Teacher Support Network to your staff handbook and / or website

We will also update you throughout the year on how you can get involved with surveys, events, fundraising activities and research.

How much time do I need to give?

You can give as little or as much time as you wish. Some times of the year will be busier than others, as we launch campaigns, raffles or specific research, but we will give you as much notice as possible to give the word out.
